Trophies
Points are awarded to a helm sailing a particular boat only in the Sunday Trophy Series. For all other series, points are awarded to the helm. Such helm may sail one or more dinghies approved by the Sailing Committee.
Two handed boats may be sailed single handed in the Saturday Points, Wednesday evening, Winter Series and Frostbite Series. An adjusted PH or PN will apply. The helm must record that he is sailing single handed on the declaration sheet when signing on.When members are on duty they will be awarded 4 points for the races that are run on the day of their duty provided they attend the duty.
THE OPENER SHIELDS
Awarded to the winners of both the All-in Handicap Dinghy Race and the Cruiser Race. Held on the first sailing day of the new season. The Opener Shield for Cruisers (presented by Joan Lewis in memory of Cyril Lewis.)
SUNDAY TROPHY
The Sunday Trophy is competed for within the All in Handicap Sunday Series by the following Classes: British Moth, Solo, National 12, Laser & Handicap
TEA TRAY
(Presented by Harry and Betty McAusland) This is a Personal Handicap (PH) Series.
BROUGHTON SALVER
Personal Handicap Series based on Wednesday evening races.
ROBERTS TROPHY
Awarded to the winner of each of the class races in the Sunday Trophy Race and the Cruiser Race on the Sunday specified in the Fixture List.
LADIES CUP
Awarded at the Ladies Regatta. Open to all lady members, other than cadet members. Any crew is allowed.
CADET CUP AND JUNIOR CADET CUP
Awarded at the Cadet Regatta: the Cadet Cup (engraved ‘St. Olaves Regatta 1890’) to the winning helm who, as well as their crew (if applicable,) is under 18 years of age; the Junior Cadet Cup to the winning helm who, as well as their crew (if applicable,) are under 15 years of age. All ages are taken as at 1st January of that particular season.
CRAIG-WOOD CUP SERIES
Open to helms who are under 18 years of age on the 1st January of that particular season. The races are held in conjunction with the Tea Tray series. The recorded times of the cadets will be used without any personal handicap loading and ignoring the positions of any adult competitors in the Tea Tray races. Cadets wishing to enter must indicate on the "Signing on" sheet that they are cadets.
BURDEN SHIELD (NEW MEMBERS RACE)
Open to any member who has joined the Club during the current or previous season. Any crew is allowed.
JOHN STRODE SALVER
Awarded to the helm with the greatest number of first places in races which are open to all helms. This includes the Sunday Trophy Series.

(Presented by Robin Sider) awarded to the winner of the Pursuit Series for dinghies
THE COMMODORE’S DECANTER
(Presented by Bob Baker) awarded to the winner of the Winter Frostbite Series
THE NAUTICALIA TROPHY
Awarded to the winner of the Tera Open Meeting
THE ENDEAVOUR CUP
(Presented by Olympic Gold Medalist Sarah Ayton) awarded to the helm considered by the Race Committee to have made the best Endeavour at the Tera Open Meeting
ATTENDANCE BOWL
Awarded to the helm who sailed in the most Sunday Trophy and Saturday Points races. A helm who wins any other Club dinghy trophy in the same year is not eligible. In the event of a tie, the Sailing Committee will take into account the number of races sailed in the Tea Tray and Wednesday Evening Series.
DSC CREW’S CUP
Awarded to the crew (dinghy or cruiser) with the best performance in all competitions.
NATIONAL 12 CREW’S CUP
Awarded to the regular crew of the winning boat of the National 12 Sunday Trophy Series.
CADET SERIES TROPHY
(Presented by the Saunders Family) to the winner of the Cadet Series.
NOVICES SERIES TROPHY
Awarded to the winner of the Novice series ‘for less confident sailors’ with a PH above 300.
LADIES VASE
(Presented by Dave and Karen Henfrey) Awarded to the winner of the Ladies Series run in conjunction with the Saturday Points Series

MICHELLE CUP
(Presented by Des Jeffery) awarded to the Cruiser helm who sailed in the most Cruiser races.
PETER REED BOWL
Awarded to the winner of the Long Distances Series for Cruisers.

(Presented by Alan Woolford) Awarded to the winner of the Late Summer Series.

(Presented by Bob Baker) Awarded to the winner of the last race of the Late Summer Series.
IVAN DODDS TROPHY
Awarded to the winner of the Competition for Cruiser Handling under Power.
SPECIAL PRIZES
BETTS TROPHY
Awarded to the most improved sailor over the course of the season, measured as the percentage reduction in PH by a sailor who has qualified for a race series, excluding the Long Distance Series and the Winter Series.
BIRCH CUP
(Presented by Gordon Birch) Awarded by the Management Committee to an adult member for contribution and endeavour both on and off the water.
CAPTAIN’S CUP
Awarded by the Commodore after consulting the Club Captains, to the member who is considered to have done the most to promote the Club during the year
COPE TROPHY
Awarded by the Management Committee for contribution to social activity at the club.
